Term	Explanation
F	Lethality of a sterilizing process expressed in (equivalent) minutes at 250°F.
FA	Fluorescent antibody (test, procedure)
FC	Fecal coliform

Florence flask	A glass container, essentially spherical, but with a flattened bottom
